Every-Day Carry Concepts and Dry-Fire Training

  • Every-Day Carry Concepts and Dry-Fire Training

This is a two hour, practically-geared, two-for-the-price-of-one class in a relaxed environment where questions and discussion are encouraged.

EDC. You hear the term often, but it may conjure images of an overstuffed pair of tactical cargo pants sagging perilously under the weight of 15 pockets bursting with “just in case” or an end-of-the-world prepper with his everything-but-the-kitchen-sink bug-out bag, waiting vigilantly at his keyboard for the first sign of the apocalypse to stop trolling CNN and disappear into the wilderness.

The CFTT team presents a practical point-of-view on everyday carry for everyday people, and share no-nonsense tips for responsible citizens, based on real-world experience and logic, instead of fear or fantasy.

Shooters tend to think of the range as the primary place to train, but often neglect one of the most important habits of effective shooters—dry practice. A South African military study showed consistent dry practice to be equally or more effective than live fire practice in maintaining marksmanship skills. With ammunition shortages, quarantines, and shutdowns, at-home dry practice is critical to keep up those perishable skills that depend so heavily on repetition to stay fresh. Dry practice helps conscientious shooters make the most of their precious ammunition and range time by keeping them sharp between trips to the firing line. With their typical down-to-earth, humorous approach, the CFTT guys will share fun and practical drills to keep your dry practice routine from going stale, and “range rust” at bay.

We look forward to visiting with you around a couple of topics near and dear to our hearts, over some delicious baked goods and a cup of coffee… and don’t be afraid—Joshua only drinks decaf after noon.
