Night Fighter 2-hour Monthly Drills
Don’t fear the darkness.
A large number of defensive encounters take place after dark or in less-than-optimal lighting conditions. Defending yourself in the dark requires a specific set of well-honed skills. Darkness complicates our awareness, threat identification, and marksmanship, as well as many other factors. Despite the likelihood of a confrontation happening in low light, and the skill set required to navigate this challenging environment, many shooters spend little or no time practicing in reduced light conditions.
Night Fighter is a monthly 2 hour skill-building block that focuses on developing reduced light defensive shooting capabilities and tools specific to these situations. Drills will focus on awareness, threat identification, and the employment of handheld and weapon-mounted white light, as well as night vision devices and compatible passive and active aiming systems, using both rifles and handguns.
Minimum needed for this class: modern defensive rifle and handgun, handheld flashlight, and 100 rounds of ammunition for both rifle and pistol. Ideally, you should have red dot or night-vision compatible optics on your guns, lasers (visible and/or IR), and weapon-mounted lights (visible/IR), and night vision mounted on a helmet or other headwear. Night vision or thermal scopes are also welcome. You do NOT need night vision equipment to attend these classes–a quality compact handheld flashlight is sufficient for starters.
